Tuesday, 28 May 2013: We all need a quickie cake-induced-sugar-high fix.

Here at the Black Box office, we're a bunch of sweet tooth monsters and we don't crave but we demand our weekly cake intakes! Today we'll like to share some of our favorite cake to-go places.

These places served delicious cakes that definitely "hit the sweet spot", are great places to hangout with friends on a chill weekend afternoon or really any time at all!

Surprisingly the cakes at the Crown Plaza lounge are really good! We've been to Azur buffet many times for their buffets *yummy seafood bar alert* but we were pleasantly surprised when we tried the cakes while relaxing at the lounge after our meal, here's our favorite two picks:

Love the no-nonsense, no frills name of this two cakes. Straight to the point and when we see these they go straight into our very happy tummies within seconds.

We would hands down say this is the best durian cake we've ever eaten, for those who are not exactly "into" our "King of Fruit - durian" this is pretty much a good stepping stone for you to start! Delicious Durian mousse layered with a really light sponge cake, and the durian puff is the best thing EVER.

For those of you who prefer a good, sweet and refreshing dessert the Mango Passionfruit is a must-try, great balance of sweet + sour. Yums!

If you're in town and you're tired from all the shopping, the hectic orchard road and you want to look for a more private, hidden gem. Look no further, let's go to The Fabulous Baker Boy at the foothills [opposite liang court]

The Raspberry Lemon Slice is to DIE FOR. Raspberry conserve and a light cream cheese frosting. The cake is then finished with a crumble of puff pastry.

Other than Cakes, The Fabulous Baker Boy also serves daily brunch and makes customized cakes!

Hahaha what a fantastic catchy name, Cake Spade! It's totally branded in our head already.

Does the Chocolate Blackout Cake look too good to eat or what? Moist dark chocolate sponge + rich, velvety chocolate ganache and crushed Oreo cookie. We're in Chocolatey Heaven.

And the Nutella Crumble is so good for a quickie pre-meeting snack to perk you up before going in for that long long loooooooong meeting.
